Name the service that matches the car

Start with what the car is doing right now, then name the closest of the six services above. If a Tesla's screen is dark and the frunk won't open, ask for Tesla 12V Battery Jump. That is the 12-volt request, not a request to refill the drive battery.

If range is at zero and the car is still awake, ask for Out-of-Charge EV Recovery. Mobile EV Charging is the name for bringing Level 2 power to the car, and Tesla Roadside Rescue is the Tesla-named version of that same charge-at-the-car call. Emergency EV Roadside Assistance is the name to use when you're already stopped on the road and need an operator found.

If the car isn't a Tesla and needs a different connector, ask for Non-Tesla EV Rescue. If you're unsure, just say the make, whether the screen is dark or the range is at zero, and where the car is sitting.

What a mobile charge actually is

A typical rescue charge puts 10 to 20 miles of range back in the car in 15 to 30 minutes of Level 2 charging. That figure is charging time, not arrival time.

Why on-site rescue exists in Orange County

As of December 31, 2025, Orange County had 210,842 registered battery-electric vehicles. Tesla accounted for 138,121 of those, or 65.51 percent of the county's battery-electric fleet.
